Bobby Smith

Bobby is a Roosevelt Jr. High and CHS grad.  He said his worst moment at CHS was blowing up chemistry lab during an ether experiment.  He dated Joyce Kirby during his senior ( Joyce was a Junior.) AND it was his first kiss!

Soon after CHS Bobby joined the Navy to see the world (and keep from being drafted!).  What a great job he had in the Navy … aiming canons.  Soon though he went to Officer Training School and was commissioned as an Ensign, went to flight school and graduated as navigator (He said he liked to navigate around the girls also).  After he retired from the Navy (with those great retirement benefits) he worked with Trans-Caribbean and Seaboard World airlines both out of JFK in New York (Wow an Okie in the big city!).

Bobby has been married twice.  He met both wives from adjoining apartment parties (Those Navy guys really get around!).  His first wife was from Germany and it lasted 10-years with one child (a girl) and his second wife is from Columbia and it lasted 10-years also with two children both girls.  Bobby is now living in Washington State and says he never lived in Oklahoma after leaving Tulsa and joining the Navy.

Bobby says he has been in good health, except for diabetes and basically the only serious problem he has is his pot belly ( Bobby was so thin at CHS).

Bob says he has never attended a CHS reunion but hope to attend
the 50th even from so far away.
