Donna S. Lane (Jones)

How does she do it?  Donna has stayed “slim & trim” all these years.  She makes so many of us jealous!  Always “good lookin” and even “better lookin” in her later years.  Fantastic dresser, cool, calm and collected.
Donna remembers every Saturday night getting a quarter and going to the Pines Movie Theatre.  The movie cost a dime, with a nickel left over for popcorn, coke and candy.  Wow … those were the days!  Ruth Penrose and Janie Whitefield , were her good buddies in those days and still are!

Her first kiss … from Brad Coody at Linda Wolfe ’s house playing spin the bottle.  Boy that Brad Coody really got around.  His name is mentioned in several bio’s as a first kiss!  However, Donna ’s first love was Gene Landreth .  Gene always sat in front of her and asked her to help him with her homework.

After CHS Donna worked at National Bank of Tulsa where she met her future husband and was married in 1960.  They have three daughters and eleven grandchildren ranging in age from 2 to 20 years.  The sad part was the passing of their 12-year old granddaughter.  Her oldest daughter suffered breast cancer, but is now in remission.  She says her faith in God pulled her through the hard times.

Donna is still great friends with Janie and Ruth especially now that Billy Harrison has been dating Janie Whitefield .
