After enjoying a good bowl of chili, and jalapeño cornbread, the meeting started with a review of the CHS 55th Class Reunion contract from the Tulsa Elks Lodge.  Aline was able to obtain discounted costs on the room rent, and asked the Lodge absorb costs of table linens.  We based the cost on approximately 100 in attendance, in order to obtain the approximate cost of the reunion.  Total is $5,252.54.  The decision was made to charge $56.00 per person to attend the event.  The contract was signed and a room deposit of $300.00 was written as required by the Tulsa Elks Lodge.

A review was made of the Registration Form and cover letter.   Fred Benford wrote the cover letter. Additions and corrections were made and will be  presented at the next meeting.

A discussion took place regarding the expense of such a large mail out.  Jacqueline stated that we need to watch our money due our ongoing web page expense.  We hope to get additional contributions from classmates to help with some of our expenses.  E-mail could be used to save on postage if our classmates would complete the forms and return them to us.  Aline plans to discuss with Fred Benford to  see if we can come up with the best solution by using e-mails.

Aline asked for names of classmates for models for the Comedy Fashion Show who would enjoy being part of the entertainment.  Following are the names that were submitted: (I hope if you see your name on this list and will call Aline Wisher at 918-366-0933 to tell me to add your name to the list) It will be fun!

We are doing the preliminary work on this reunion, and this is a way you can help us.

Dick Gable and Marilyn Gilmer discussed a hospitality room at the hotel and how we may give additional information to our out of town guests.

The committee discussed the dress for the occasion.  It was decided to keep this event casual and hopefully more of our classmates would attend.

Aline mentioned the Friday, Golf Tournament.  We need classmates names who plan on playing golf, as soon as possible.  Fred Boyd needs to know how many people are playing in order to make the arrangements.  The tournament fee will be approximately $30.00.

The next meeting was set for February 17, 12:00 Noon , at Jacqueline Wilson’s home.  We will have lunch and continue planning  the reunion.
