Golf Tournament – Fred Boyd

Fred provided information from LaFortune Golf Course.  He would not be able to make reservations until the first of next year, and we need twenty four golfers before LaFortune Golf Course would take our group.  The cost would increase a few dollar next year currently $27.00 and possibly up to $30.00.  The starting time would be 7:30 a.m.   It was decided by the committee that the Golf Tournament would be the only activities taking place on Friday.

 Communications - Classmates

After further discussion of the class events, it was decided it would be a good idea to send out an early form letter to find out how many classmates plan on attending the 55^th Class Reunion.  How many would be in need of a hotel, and how many would be interested entering the golf tournament.   For those who have e-mail addresses will receive the form letter and will be asked to reply through e-mail, and those who do not have e-mail addresses will receive the form letter through mail, and all will be asked to return the questionnaire.

 Hotel – Allen Keenan and Dick Gable

Hyatt Southern Hills, 7037 S. Zurich Ave. , Rate $89.00

The committee will arrange for a special area at the hotel where our classmates may gather on Friday to visit.  We will select a host and hostess for that assignment.

 Program/Entertainment – Jo Russell

Jo is working on program and will need volunteers to call her with ideas and be part of the program.

  Saturday, September 17, 2011 - Tulsa Elks Lodge - Lunch   11:30 a.m.

(Menu – Coney’s, Taco Bar, Potato Bar)

Program “ Walk Down Memory Lane - 1:00 p.m. – 230 p.m.

 Social - 5:00 p.m.

 BBQ Dinner – 6:00 p.m.

 Dance to the Music of “Luigi”– 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

For those who like to dance, we have provided music and dance floor.

For those who want to visit we have a room for visiting.

For those who want to play pool, watch television, shuffleboard, a tournament could be set up for that activity.

There will be a cash bar

There will be Coffee, Tea, and a Soft Drink bar

We would like to keep the cost to $56.00 per couple, taking in consideration we may have some donation from some of our generous classmates

The next meeting date was set for September 15, 6:00 p.m. at Jacqueline Wilson’s home.
