Central High School – Class of 56 – 55th Class Reunion
Ninth Planning Meeting
May 19, 2011

Classmates attending:
Aline Wisher                  Dick Wisher                Ed Wheeler
Susan Wheeler               Jacqueline Wilson          Charles Bright
Carolyn McGee                Bob Kendall                Marilyn Gilmer
Fred Boyd                     Jo Russel

Our CHS 55th Class Reunion planning meeting had a good turnout tonight.  Ed Wheeler brought his lovely wife Susan.  We were delighted to have her attend.

Jacqueline Wilson reported she received sixty reservations along with some very generous donations to help out with the reunion expenses.  Total deposit for reservations was $4,400.48.  She had twenty-nine envelopes returned due to incorrect mailing addresses.  Ed recorded all classmates’ names from the returned envelopes and a plan was made to obtain correct addresses.  As soon as the corrections are made, the registrations forms will be mailed out once again.

Fred discussed the number of golf reservations he received to date. He was concerned with the number of reservations.    Everyone was asked to encourage people to make their golf reservations as soon as possible.  A deposit of $250 will be required to reserve La Fortune Golf Course. If we do not get enough golf reservations, we will be able to cancel thirty-one days in advance of the scheduled time.  A check was written for $250 for Fred to put up the deposit.

Carolyn Eads mentioned she had several year books remaining from our 50th reunion and they could be purchased locally for $20.00 and if mailed $25.00.

Ed stated we need to consider having more meetings closer to the time of the reunion since there is much work to be done.  Aline mentioned we plan on two meetings each month starting in July.

Aline reported the Elks Lodge has RV parking for $15 a day should classmates want to take advantage of that space.  They would need to call the Elks Lodge at 918-742-2401 to reserve their space.

The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, 2011 , 6:00 p.m. , at the Jacqueline Wilson’s home.  Fred Boyd stated he would be happy to have a July meeting at his home.

The food was scrumptious!  The menu was BBQ Chicken, Community Salad, Fruit Salad, Dips & Crackers, and Pecan Pie.  No one went away hungry.

The meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Aline Wisher
