Minutes
I.     Welcome – Allen Keenan

Chairman Allen Keenan thanked Jacqueline Slagle Wilson for her hospitality for our Pot
Luck dinner.  Others in attendance were Carolyn Eads McGee, Marilyn Miller Gilmer & Joniel Foster Russell.

II.     Minutes – Joniel Russell

The minutes were presented as e-mailed to committee members.  They were corrected to
read that “someone” said that CDs could be played in lieu of  hiring a band.  Marilyn         asked that Fred Benford supply a gender breakdown on his informal survey regarding a preference for band or CD.   Minutes then were approved.

III.     Venue – Allen Keenan for Fred Boyd & Bob Duncan

The contract with the Double Tree South includes the following guarantee of room           rentals: Thursday, 5 rooms; Friday, 10 rooms; & Saturday, 10 rooms.  The hotel         anticipates 300 in attendance for the Saturday night Gala & 100 in attendance for the
Memorial Service on Sunday.

Discussion turned to where to stage the Saturday morning “Assembly”—at the hotel, at
the new Tulsa Central High School ? Jacqueline agreed to visit informally with the school principal to determine any possible costs, as stage rental, organ use, stagehand fees. Talk turned to the possibility of a bus tour that morning through downtown, etc. which would      end at the new high school.  Plans still include tennis & golf tournaments on Friday     morning at La Fortune Park.

IV.     Treasurer’s Report – Jacqueline Wilson

Balance remains the same as August 10, 2004 report:  $11,800.03.

V.    Fund-Raising – No report.

VI.    State of the Class – No report, other than two deaths.

VII.    Decorations, Food & Registration – No report.

VIII.    Old Business – Allen Keenan

It is important that our Newsletter be published more frequently since we now are just      two years away from the Reunion in order to build interest in attending.  It was suggested
that Ed Wheeler be added to the committee to assist with the Newsletter.  Allen agreed to contact him.  Joniel suggested that class members might be interested in reading an           article written by Dotty Westby for the Association of Women Airline Pilots which deals with her battle with alcoholism. She will contact her.

Allen made a plea for class members to send e-mail address changes to the website.
This is the most efficient & economical method for us to stay in touch.

IX.    Coming Events – Allen Keenan

All committee members & interested classmates are invite to a Holiday Open House on
Thursday, December 9 from 5 to 7 P.M. at the home of Carolyn Eads McGee, 7751 S. Erie Ave.   Her telephone is 481-3347.

The “Lunch Bunch” will meet Friday, January 14 at 12 noon at the Green Onion.

X.     Next Committee Meeting

We will meet Tuesday, February 8 at 6 P.M. at Jacqueline Wilson’s home for a Pot Luck Supper. If she is unable to host it, the back-up location will be The Full Cup at 31st        Winston.

Respectfully submitted,

Joniel Foster Russell
